American Studies / ELA

This is an integrated course of American History and 10th grade English Language Arts covering the time period of post Civil War to present. It is team taught course, focusing on Common Core English skills integrated into projects on history content. Major emphasis includes American wars and foreign policy, and the struggle for equality and the rights of all Americans. The goal of this course is to create knowledgeable and critical citizens who will actively participate in our democracy.
