Marcus grew up in St. Joseph, MI where he developed a strong curiosity for the world around him. This lead to an education in the fields of math and science at the University of Dayton. He began preparing for a career as a mechanical engineer but soon learned his passion included working with young people. Throughout his last 8 years in education he’s learned successful educators find a way to nourish the natural curiosity of their students. Working at Kent Innovation High has allowed him the freedom to focus on developing students as problem solvers in a dynamic environment.
