What is the world around us made up of? We will explore how everyday chemicals have an impact on our daily life. Topics include but are not even remotely limited to: atoms and molecules, the periodic table, nuclear chemistry, reactions, acids and bases (don’t burn your face off), etc… The pinnacle project of the course is the Traveling Science Fair, in which students choose their own research topics to innovate, invent, or improve something (almost anything) through chemical processes and experimentation.
