Mark previously worked for Grand Rapids Public Schools beginning his teaching experience in the area of industrial education and then moving to the area of special education. Mark thoroughly enjoys his current position as a teacher consultant at KIH because he has the opportunity to build relationships with students, in order to enhance their learning. This opportunity also allows him to collaborate with the KIH facilitators in order to coordinate services for all students to become more successful, contributing members within the community. Mark hopes these efforts at KIH are helpful in making a difference in students’ lives, today, and in the future.
Mark enjoys biking, hiking, college sports, Detroit Tiger baseball, as well as pursuing fins, fur and feathers. He continues to be involved in the building trades, remodeling and doing home improvements.
